I use the handle Ghostrider as a tribute to the F-14 Tomcat squadron, VF-142, which I served with from 1977-80. I was stationed at NAS Oceana outside Virginia Beach, VA and served on two aircraft carriers, the USS America & USS Dwight D Eisenhower, during my stint with the Ghostriders.

It seems that the squadron dropped out of sight and was decommissioned some time during the 80's.

Hobbies at a glance:

1. Family & Religion:

a. My wife Grace, children Will & Sarah. I am very blessed to have the family I have now. They make it easy to get up each day.

b. We enjoy First Christian Church in Lawrenceburg (No creed but Christ)

c. March 15, 1999 at the First Assembly of God in Frankfort, Kentucky is my most special day.

d. April 4, 1999, Easter Sunday, at Alton Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky is my second most special day.

e. March 12, 2005, is the best day of my life that involved my best friend.

2. Baseball:

a. NL-Cincinnati Red's.

b. AL-New York Yankees.
(because of Paul O'Neill, my all-time favorite Cincinnati rightfielder).

3. Baseball Card Collecting

a. Favorite Card pulled from pack:
1998 DonRuss Purple Crusader of Mark McGwire # 13 of 100).

b. Favorite Player Card pulled from pack:
1991 Upper Deck Autographed Hank Aaron

c. Favorite Card given to me as gift:
1992 Upper Deck Johnny Bench/Joe Morgan Heroes card authographed by both at show in Cincinnati.

4. University of Kentucky Men's College Basketball

a. 1998 Championship victory felt better than Championship victory in 1996. The team in 1996 was expected to win. No one expected the 1998 team to go all the way.

5. Poultry & Rabbits

a. We raise & show various breeds of poultry depending on what we like at the time.  I personally like Black & Blue Indian Runner Ducks the best, but we have various breeds that we raise & take to shows like the Kentucky State Fair and several of the County Fairs within a reasonable driving distance.

b. Grace & Will raise & show Mini Rex, Jersey Woolies, English Lop, French Lop and Tan Rabbits. They are very good at their hobby. Will knows as much or more about showing rabbits than most adults, and he's only 11 years old.
